You've heard us say we built the Software Factory to run your entire Software Department. This is what it looks like inside.
The floor builds the work. The brain senses, plans, remembers, sleeps on it and learns. Three keys on the front rail only a person can turn.
An isometric factory on a workbench. A conveyor in front carries one tray past a ticket printer, a glass display case with a measuring arm, a magazine of blanks, a press, a gantry with two tool heads and a foreman's booth, a stamping turret, a gate with eight pins beside a fenced test cage, and a dock with a beacon. Behind the line stand a pegboard of tools, parts bins, a card sorter, a sorting desk with a stamp and a card cabinet. A raised shelf along the back holds a switchboard, a drafting table, a test bench with a gauge and a drum that links cards. Cables run from the shelf to the floor and from the dock back to the intake. Three key switches sit on the front edge.

The tray: one piece of work, from a text to a live siteThe floor makes; the shelf and the back row thinkNerves and memory cablesThe tray stops at each section and the section does its one job. The three key switches on the front edge are the owner's: GO after the survey, merge after inspection, cutover at the dock. The five lamps are the job's ledger: audit, go, building, live, delivered.
Run the line
Pick an example order and start the line. It stops at each owner key until you turn it.
Run log0 cards in memory
The line is running on its own. Start a run to follow one order end to end.
01Order received by text from an owner.
01Checked against the allowlist, then queued.
02Current site crawled, as deep as its size calls for.
10Next: links drawn between memories nobody linked by hand.
11Anything that went wrong becomes an eval case.
11The next run starts with what this one learned.
11Run complete. The next run starts with what this one learned.
The Floor
The Brain
The Floor
Where the work is made. Seven sections, left to right along the line.
Survey BayPerception
We read your current site before we touch anything.
Your current site sits under glass. We crawl it as deep as its size calls for, then write one page: what to keep, what to reimagine, what to drop, and what the rebuild will cost.
Who works here
An auditor, and the owner who reads the page.
Safeguard
The source site is read-only. Nothing is built until the owner turns the GO key.
The StoresParts
Engineered once. Fitted to you.
We work like a car factory. Parts every site runs unchanged come sealed and pinned, so one fix reaches every site. Options come in open bins and are changed to fit you. What only you asked for is built in your own repo.
Every new site starts as a copy of the same chassis.
Who works here
Sealed: the app core, the admin and the launch checks. Open bins: booking and address lookup.
Safeguard
A part moves up the line, never sideways from one client to another.
Next
Content-heavy sites on a headless CMS, with the content migrated for you.
The ToolroomSkills
38 skills on one wall, for two engines.
Each skill is written once and runs on Claude and on Codex. A skill carries only the method. What is specific to your business lives with your project.
Who works here
Planning, building, review, release, incidents, search visibility, art direction, copy, secrets and a library of design principles.
Safeguard
Fix a skill once and every project gets the fix on its next update.
AssemblyMovement
One foreman. One builder per unit.
The Overseer runs the work from its booth. Each unit gets its own Builder in its own copy of the code, and read-only Workers do the digging.
Codex finds, Claude judges. Where units share a seam, one bench joins them.
Who works here
Overseer, Builders, Workers and an integration bench.
Safeguard
A Builder stops for a blocker, never to ask what is next.
Finishing ShopExpression
It should look and sound like you.
Art direction decides the visual world before any screen is drawn. A second model writes and edits the copy against one voice contract.
Who works here
An art director, a copy writer from a second model, and five stamps: voice, social, cold email, product showcase and web report.
Safeguard
Taste stays a person's veto.
InspectionInhibition
Nothing passes the gate half done.
Eight checks run on every change: rebase, review, test, document, lint, push, pull request and CI.
In a fenced copy, a cast of bug-makers tries to break it: hostile, careless, rushed, confused and elderly users. A judge from a second model family scores screenshots at desktop and phone width.
Who works here
Reviewers, bug-makers, test personas and the judge.
Safeguard
The gate never merges. The owner turns the merge key.
The DockAction
Merged, then live, then checked.
Rollout runs in a safe order: settings first, then additive database changes, then code, then anything destructive. Smoke checks run against the live site, and forms are proven to deliver.
Who works here
A release lead and a launch inspection in three stages.
Safeguard
A failed check pulls the rollback lever. Your domain moves only when the owner turns the cutover key.
The Brain
Where the work is sensed, planned, remembered and improved. Five sections on the shelf and along the back wall.
The SwitchboardSenses and voice
You send a text. The line starts.
Orders come in by text, by chat or in the team channel. Every caller gets the right door: owners, engineers and guests each see a different factory.
When a run gets stuck, it texts a person and waits for the answer.
Who works here
An intake agent, an issue clerk, a budget watcher and a reminder for stale pull requests.
Safeguard
Every job is checked against two allowlists: once when it is queued, and again before it runs. The budget watcher alerts and never acts.
The Drafting RoomIntent
We agree what done means before any code.
A fuzzy idea becomes stars you can test. We freeze the contract at every seam between parts, give each seam a stand-in, and slice the work into units. Every unit traces back to a star.
Who works here
The Overseer drafts. The owner agrees.
Safeguard
New scope is an edit to the stars, never a quiet addition.
The ArchiveMemory
The line remembers.
Every working session is captured. Secrets are stamped out before anything is stored or read by a model. An extractor and a reviewer turn what remains into entities, events and facts.
The next session starts with what the last one learned.
Who works here
An extractor, a reviewer and a validator.
Safeguard
Separate vaults stay separate unless you ask to look across them.
The Night ShiftSleep
It sorts what it learned while nobody works.
The day's notes are digested every six hours. Every couple of weeks, duplicate memories merge, contradicted facts retire and stale ones are archived.
Who works here
A sorter that proposes every change before it lands.
Safeguard
Nothing is merged or retired without a record of why.
Next
Dreaming: a pass that finds links between memories nobody linked by hand.
The LabLearning
Every run makes the next one better.
A thumbs-down on any reply becomes a failure case. Skills are tuned against a suite of eval cases and kept only when the score holds and the cost falls.
Every ruling the owner makes on a piece of copy becomes a dated line in the voice log.
Who works here
A tuner, the eval suite and a gatekeeper with six questions for any big change.
Safeguard
A skill change runs the eval suite before it ships.
